Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru Ep.10 - Saint's financial problem solved!

Episode 10 of Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru (The Magician Kunon Can See) continues, as expected, with an episode entirely focused on the Saint’s financial troubles. It appears that in this school, students in the advanced class must survive completely on their own by selling magic-related items to earn money. No allowance from their parents or home country is allowed in any case.

This is quite a hurdle for most students, but it is especially problematic for Reyes. Because she is accompanied by two guards and maids, her expenses are much higher as she also needs to earn enough to pay their salaries. She tried to protest, but not even the Saint can influence the school rules.

I can't get enough of these reaction faces from Reyes. Need to make a compilation...

Kunon really went the whole way to make sure that the Saint is able to live a normal school life.

This leaves her in the unwelcome position of having to rely on Kunon, who has already built a successful business by selling time on his water bed to other students and teachers. Reyes is clearly taken aback by Kunon's seemingly frivolous personality, but because she needs to survive, she ends up biting the bullet.

Things go quite well for her, however, as Kunon is extremely interested in light magic and immediately gets to work helping her. Together, they develop a method (throug the use of her light magic) to grow special plants used for medical treatments that can normally only be raised in the holy land. This allows her to easily earn money whenever she needs it.

This shifts her opinion of Kunon slightly, especially considering he risked a large amount of money to buy the seeds for her to test. She could easily become a prominent character and a close friend to Kunon. Since she does not seem romantically interested in him, she would likely get along well with Mirika.

It was also mentioned that, in order to graduate, students must earn enough points by conducting experiments and making discoveries. I wonder how that system will work and who judges whether an achievement is worth points. Is any teacher sufficient, or is there a more formal process? It seems like a system that would be easy to exploit.

Lies, you did feel a bit moved by his actions. Just admit it Saint!

These three are going to be the next focus. Are they going to try and recruit Kunon?

The next episode is titled "Flying and Roasting and Being Invited". It seems it will focus on the three mysterious girls who were spying on Kunon throughout this episode. They all seem interested in him, presumably because of his skills, but I wonder what exactly they are trying to recruit him for.
