Seihantai na Kimi to Boku Ep.06 - Wait, Miyu had black hair? Pink is fake?!

Episode 6 of the anime series Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (正反対な君と僕) delivers a series of revelations that I wasn't expecting at all regarding Suzuki, while also slowly advancing the romance in the sub-plots involving classmates Yamada and Nishi (already ongoing) and Taira and Shino (only hinted).

The biggest shock for me was definitely Miyu's hair color. I felt betrayed; did she really have black hair in middle school?! Does this mean she is a "fake" pink? Moreover, is it normal for people to dye their hair pink in this universe? This opens a lot of questions, and we have far too few answers...

You're in high school Shino, just how many guys did you get with until now?

BLACK HAIR. Again, that was my first reaction here. Why did you change Miyu? You looked great.

Joking aside, I'll be honest: the whole "I had a boyfriend in middle school" line entered and left my head so quickly because it was overshadowed by the hair color revelation. Sure, Tani wasn't her first boyfriend, of course, but let's talk about the serious stuff now, Miyu. What about your hair color?

It is a bit of a shame that her friendship with Rihito was broken by this, though. They seemed to be very close friends, and the meddling of other students put them in a situation that just wasn't right for them, rather than letting them continue freely at their own pace. Peer pressure can be quite damning sometimes...

I can feel the pain in the first shot between the two, they both just don't want to be there, but they can't just escape in front of the other friends and the pain expands... View video page

Regarding the sub-plots, there was some nice development for Nishi as she starts to realize more and more that she is simply unable to have a normal conversation with any guy at all, even through messages. What will be the way to break through this? Yamada doesn't seem to mind, but they surely can't go on like this forever, right?

It also seems that Shino is beginning to realize that Taira might be the guy for her. It won't be easy, considering they are, as usual, diametrically opposite. Shino is the girl who has tons of experience and prefers "bad boys," while Taira is someone who tries to avoid attention and is generally very negative about relationships. However, I feel it would definitely be fun to watch, at least.

Remove the might, those long responses were kind of 'interesting' indeed Nishi.

Just accept it already Shino, settle down with the most reasonable choice in Taira.

The cultural festival is still ongoing, so I am curious to see what happens next week. Surely they can't be hiding any other bombshell revelations like they did today, right?
