Yowayowa Sensei - The yuri discipline committee is here?!Nov 9, 2025, 11:38:04 AM

One of the manga series I’ve been following recently is Yowayowa Sensei, a comedic school-life story. It centers around Hiyori Hiwamura, a kindhearted teacher who is mistakenly viewed by her students as terrifying and severe. In reality, she’s an incredibly soft, gentle person who’s just trying her best to be a good educator, but her appearance and demeanor seem to get in the way.

The protagonist, Akihito Abikura, discovers Hiwamura’s true personality early on and decides to help her change the students’ perception of her. Over time, he’s joined by his cheerful childhood friend Mizuki Mukubayashi, along with other classmates, and together they strive to improve their teacher’s reputation and help her deal with school life’s various challenges.

As you might expect, the story leans heavily into comedy, with just a touch of romance and a much more prominent dose of ecchi fanservice as the images suggest. Each volume is broken up into short, mostly self-contained episodes with a loose overarching continuity.

These segments often revolve around a new obstacle Hiwamura has to face, whether it's preparing for the school festival, dealing with sports events, or simply navigating daily interactions with her students.

Motto yuri!

My favorite character so far has to be Yūki. She’s got a delightfully tomboyish attitude and is often the catalyst for the funniest scenes, thanks to her bold personality and… enthusiastic ero-tendencies.

That said, the more recent volumes I've read have introduced an equally intriguing character: Enaga Erika, the so-called “Yuri Discipline Committee.” Erika has a strong dislike for boys and goes out of her way to interfere with Akihito’s involvement with Hiwamura, often resulting in outrageous and hilarious—situations as she tries to prove that “boys are animals.”

If you’re into romcoms with a healthy dose of light-hearted humor and a sprinkle of ecchi antics, I’d genuinely recommend giving Yowayowa Sensei a try. It’s an easy and entertaining read with characters that grow on you quickly.
