Yowayowa Sensei Vol 15,16 - Kohana arrived! Mizuki approach is working?

Volumes 15 and 16 of Yowayowa Sensei (よわよわ先生) pick up where the previous volumes left off, with the group embarking on a school trip together. The various heroines are all planning ways to spend time with Akihito, whether it is Hiyori wanting to thank him for his hard work or Mizuki pressing him to make him fall for her.

There are plenty of the usual interesting ecchi antics, ranging from fighting over who gets to sit next to Akihito to the girls infiltrating the men's bath while he is alone to get some skinship. Of course, they utterly fail every single time. Up to this point, it felt like business as usual until a significant shift occurred.

As usual, Hiyori is outstanding on the covers, really like how she's getting used to these things...

Hiyori works even with a more traditional approach too. Especially the gentle gray/white hair helps.

On the third day of the school trip, Mizuki goes on a date with Akihito after her usual persistence. However, she notices that Akihito is feverish and suggests they return to the hotel. Once there, she protects him when another teacher is about to mention his illness to Hiyori, and then she covers for him.

This, combined with an amazing scene showing her beautiful smile (see the attached screenshot), makes Akihito conscious of her as a woman for the first time. This is confirmed later in the 16th volume, making it clear that Mizuki is back on track to be a true rival for Hiyori.

Erika, I understand what you mean, but still stop making him wear these...

The teacher group is actually quite an interesting addition. Especially Misuna

The manga introduces two new characters in detail. The first is a new club member, first-year student Kohana Kounoike, who joined after watching Akihito and Hiyori from afar for quite a while. By watching from afar, I mean she witnessed all the various disastrous ecchi misadventures between the two.

To make matters worse for poor Akihito, she is an amazing manga artist who primarily writes 18+ doujinshi. She uses these experiences watching Hiyori and Akihito as a way to improve the realism of her drawings, some of which were both outrageous and incredible.

Kohana is already adapting to the people in the club. She looks great sporting it too!

This was the scene that made Akihito start to change his mind when it comes to Mizuki and I have to agree that her cheerful smile is one of the most beautiful things this series has to show.

Initially, Akihito was against her joining the club, but due to pressure from Mizuki and the others (who were all bribed with custom manga based on their own fantasies), they let her join the team. Of course, Yuki does not waste any time putting her in a swimsuit to celebrate the occasion (see the attached art).

The other character introduced is another teacher named Mitogawa Misuna (26 years old). She seems to interact with Hiyori a lot, mainly by scolding her for her mistakes. Initially, Akihito and the others were worried about Hiyori, but after some investigation, they noticed the two are actually quite close. Misuna's scoldings are often motherly, such as saying: "Are you only eating that? It will make you feel unwell. Come with me and I will treat you to lunch." These moments are quite endearing.

What, you never saw a genuinely good kouhai trying her best to make her senpai happy?

Mizuki, do you really want to raise six girls at the same time? Like whoa that's a lot of crying...

Technically, another teacher named Mashiko Marina (25 years old) was also introduced, but I didn't focus on her because she only appears in a brief scene during the trip and has not had a major role yet. I wonder if they are saving her for a more significant part down the line.

We also had a funny segment with all the heroines imagining their lives married to Akihito. Mizuki pictured herself with five daughters and pregnant with a sixth (come on, six kids in this economy?!), while Yuki imagined herself at home doing nothing and acting more like a child than a wife.

That's quite a nice cafè, I wonder if the school would approve though?

Bunny Hiyori, is there even need of a comment here? She's great!

Judging from the small preview segment, the next volume will be released on April 17, 2026. It will focus on the changes in their relationships after the events of the school trip. You can see that both Erika and Masakuni will be at the center of the story with their new approaches to Akihito, now that it is clear they are both in love with him too.
