Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.08 - This story took a very dark turn quickly.
The eighth episode of Yuusha no Kuzu (勇者のクズ) took a quick and brutal turn toward darkness the moment the three heroines left the picture. Last week, we left off with Yashiro and the other veteran heroes preparing to seek revenge for Ishinoo's death.
The three heroines do not appear in a single scene this week. Instead, the focus is on Yashiro as he gathers information about the "half dragon" group supposedly behind the incident, which leads to him killing many people. Some are dangerous criminals, while others are far less so, but they are all criminals nonetheless.

Wedge of Both Hands has apparently been recruiting people who feel they have no choice but to work as underlings for demon lords. He is not a bad person per se, and this episode puts Yashiro and the others in a morally difficult position. They essentially murdered two young people, who were still criminals, for no apparent reason and gained absolutely nothing from it. It is hard to defend their actions here.
Wedge seems to have his own philosophy regarding his service to the current demon lord (see the attached video), which can be summarized as the belief that it is better to have one incredibly strong demon lord to guarantee order. While his logic is reasonable, a society where demon lords roam freely is far from an ideal situation. The issue is, what alternatives exist considering that the government does nothing except arm vigilantes, also known as heroes?
The episode ends with Yashiro preparing for his next move, while also showing an ominous scene of the politician father abusing people in his home. This explains why he did not want to return. I honestly hope we do not see anything this heavy again anytime soon, as I cannot handle too much of that at once.
The next episode is titled "A Brave’s Legacy", Judging from the brief preview segment, all three heroines are back, and for some reason, they end up wearing very fancy clothes to attend a party hosted by criminals alongside Yashiro. Is it an undercover mission to find the culprits?

We see Aki in a glamorous red dress, which reveals she has quite a large bust, Sara in a gothic lolita style, and Yukine in a dress that resembles a wedding gown. Are we sure the plan was to infiltrate? High schoolers dressed like that will only make themselves more conspicuous.
