Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.09 - Sara, Aki and Yukine's new outfit. I had to stitch the frames together!
Episode 9 of Yuusha no Kuzu (勇者のクズ) continues right from where we left off, with Yashiro preparing his next move in the hope of finding information about the Dragon Mark group of heroes who killed Ishinoo. This time around, he is bringing the three girls along because Ishinoo left a message telling him to keep them close.
We do not know why Ishinoo thinks this is important, but there is definitely something suspicious about this combination. The group consists of Sara, the daughter of King Arthur; Aki, the daughter of Takamiya Kiyoto (Yashiro's teacher); and Yukine, a girl who is far too accustomed to killing for her age.

Sara provided an interesting piece of information about her father, Arthur (see the attached video). Apparently, his Ether Perception skill remains a mystery even to his own daughter, but she speculates it may involve predicting events or seeing things from afar because he knew what had happened to her during the first story arc before she explained anything.
Either way, the plan is simple: accept the invitation of the Demon Lord and attend a party where many powerful heroes and demon lords will be in attendance. Once there, Yashiro intends to negotiate for information and see if he can find the culprits to exact the revenge he craves.
Of course, things go south almost immediately after they enter the party. Yashiro deliberately provokes a commotion by giving a fake name and then pulling out the E3 to start fighting. I assume this is all to attract the attention of the Demon Lord, but one can only imagine the stress the three heroines feel in that den of evil with all eyes on them.
As expected the episode was a lot more light-hearted now that the heroines are back in the center of the stage. Honestly I'm still confused about what was the plan with delivering that extremely dark episode last week. It felt a bit weird considering the overall mood of the series so far.

The next episode is titled "Yuusha no Shidou," and it seems that after a short battle, the Demon Lord will finally appear. She is the woman who was prominently shown in the ending animation, and I really wonder what her personality will be like. I expect her to be a character who uses "warawa" or some other old-fashioned way of speaking, or at least that is the impression she gives, but we will have to wait and see.
I am also curious to see how she will react to the fact that Yashiro has attacked her group multiple times and, last week, decimated one of her units without much provocation at all. Will she collaborate, and if so, what will she ask in return? There is no way just the four of them can take on her entire group, so a deal seems necessary.
