Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.19 - Trapped? Why is Lord Storm Coffin...
Episode 19 of Yuusha no Kuzu continues the chase sequence and, honestly, delivers something I wasn't expecting in terms of developments. Apparently, Lord Storm Coffin is working directly with the half-dragon operatives and has hired them to capture Yashiro.
...but wasn't the entire premise of the attack on her base to kill her? What happened between then and now that caused Levi to switch sides and help her instead? I know that Levi, Tomoe, and Seki call her "client", which implies they are sort of mercenaries, but they didn't seem interested in money alone.

I'm also unsure what the plan is regarding letting all the demon lords cause havoc across the city. I guess that's a bit much if her goal was purely to capture Yashiro and make him work for her. I remember she said she considered the Half-Dragon a nuisance that she wanted to clear...
Levi seems to be a complete psychopath who only enjoys the "murder or be murdered" lifestyle of the heroes in this world. Her talk with Yashiro really put into perspective how warped their vision of society is. We've never seen the school of Aki and the others in detail, but I wonder if the people from there are any better.
Tomoe and Seki are also mostly misfits. Seki was an ex-salaryman who turned into a hero out of necessity, and it kind of shows considering how cowardly he is. As for Tomoe, we're still not sure; however, according to Seki, she is heavily attached to her ideal of a hero to the point of obsession, which suggests some backstory that led her to think that way. I guess that will be the focus of a future episode.
By the way, I liked the realization Yashiro had while watching the battle from the sidelines without E3. Since he was unable to see the others fighting at all, he realized how much he relied on E3 to do the heavy lifting in most of the fights. He was completely powerless without it.

The next episode is titled "A Brave's Rescue," and it seems like the girls are actually going to attack the base to rescue Yashiro. The small preview segment shows them handing an E3 to Yashiro, so they should be able to reach him, but I wonder exactly how, considering how many big bads are at the base.
