Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.20 - Seira to the rescue. Wait, next week, what's that?
Episode 20 of Yuusha no Kuzu continues from where we left off with Yashiro and Aki captured, but honestly, it didn't feel dramatic at all and maintained the same tempo and comedy throughout. Seira and Yukine managed—partially thanks to Seira's financial power—to recruit Joe and Ed for the battle.
The end result was pretty much one-sided, allowing Yashiro and the others to meet without too much trouble. The real focus continues to be on why Lord Storm Coffin would collaborate with someone who tried to kill her unless, as Yashiro suspects, she prepared the entire thing to allow the other demon lords to kill each other, leaving her with more power than before.

There are only four episodes to go before the end of the series, and, honestly, there is way too little time for them to be able to provide any level of closure to the half-dragon story. I guess it'll end with the final match between Yashiro and Lord Storm Coffin? The issue is, I really don't think it would be smart to kill her off at this stage because she's the only recognizable big bad that we have in the series.
Building someone to replace her wouldn't be easy, considering how paper-thin all the other demon lords have been so far, being used and thrown out after an episode or two. Sure, there has to be someone ordering Levi around, but I'd prefer if they let the introduction and buildup of those characters happen before removing Lord Storm Coffin from the equation.
I guess we'll see what happens; I plan on getting the novel once the anime is finished, even though I'm not sure if it's already being reprinted enough to be up to speed. Apparently, the original was released in 2016, but they are reprinting it and continuing the story.
So far, there are two volumes released, and I'm quite excited as the art quality is over the top compared to what we got in the anime. I've peeked at the illustrations, and it seems like the second volume goes over the events that we've been seeing just now in the anime, so it should be close enough, but...

Next episode is titled "A Brave's Pride," and it seems like we'll be seeing something from Seira; will she get the power-up needed to stand on her own? Also, what will happen to Lord Wedge of Both Hands? He was kind of a comedic character until now; will he be killed, or...?
