Yuusha no Kuzu Ep.22 - The final battle is upon us. Lord Storm Coffin!
Episode 22 of Yuusha no Kuzu finally begins the adaptation's final battle against Lord Storm Coffin. I'm extremely conflicted: while her power is absolutely amazing and worth hyping, I don't want to see her killed or lose such an interesting character.
To be precise, Lord Storm Coffin's power is her ability to control swords and even medieval armor, effectively giving her an army of unpredictable warriors for protection. Having swords fly around autonomously is quite scary in a world where sword fights are usually one-on-one.

We still don't know the exact nature of her Ether ability, but I suspect it has something to do with metal, as both the armor and weapons are made from it. Learning this will be the key for Yashiro to find a way to defeat her. Will the girls provide him with hints, or will he have to figure it out alone?
I also can't quite figure out why she is provoking this battle in the first place, or what her end goal is in creating all this chaos. She must have a motive more advanced than merely "I want to recruit Yashiro," right? That could be a point toward saving her and utilizing her for the next story arc. Or maybe I'm just being delusional, okay?
By the way, I liked how Yashiro rushed to protect the girls. You can see how much his attitude toward them has changed since the beginning of the series: he was disinterested at first, then perhaps a bit interested, and now he is completely emotionally involved and doesn't want them to get hurt.
The other battles turned out to be pretty uninteresting, to be honest. Levi was defeated almost immediately by Yashiro, and Tomoe didn't really get hurt—she was just mounted and punched a few times by Aki. You know, Aki doesn't like bloodshed anyway, so she preferred throwing some punches instead.

Next week's episode, titled "A Brave's Truth," seems to show Lord Storm Coffin with a shocked expression. What did she learn? The episode should finish the battle, which leaves us with one more episode to complete the adaptation. What will be the focus there? Starting a new plot and leaving us hanging? That would be downright evil.
