ZZZ 3.2 Patch Story - Claret x Roxy yuri? Lindverne is adorable.
Patch 3.2 of ZZZ was just released along with Claret Flint, a playable character in a totally new class called Armorer. The class seems to scale off DEF, similar to the Defense role, but is actually viable and usable. I still feel it's a shame they kind of forgot Defense exists, honestly...
Claret is the owner of Flint Workshop and the main producer of Porcelloy, the reason being that her blood is the key to actually producing it. She's... well, a tsundere, and a pretty classic one at that. Combined with the voice acting of Kana Ueda, it's hard to hear anything other than Ishtar from FGO whenever she talks.

I wasn't that hot on her back when they released her trailer, but actually seeing her in action makes things completely different. That's especially true considering her relationship with Roxy Ifrita Pryce, her assistant and close friend. Claret is constantly teased by the clever Roxy, and they often end up in scenes that are completely wholesome, yet easily misunderstood as yuri. See the attached video for an example.
In other news, TOPS continues to be an evil organization through and through, serving as the source of trouble in Roscaelifer and using criminal methods to advance their interests. It's clear that they're being helped by people inside the country, but that doesn't stop me from seeing them as the Honkai: Star Rail IPC equivalent in ZZZ. Sure, there are a few good characters like Zhao, but most of the higher-ups...
Roxy gets kidnapped in this patch, and the story ends before the rescue, so I'm wondering if they'll release another piece of the story in the second half of this patch. It would make thematic sense to combine Roxy's release as a playable character with her return...
Unsurprisingly, Serpico turned out to be a Youkai in disguise rather than the return of a dead boy. Why he specifically picked that form is unknown; surely it can't be just because he wanted to spite Belle, right? That would be way too lame, even for a character like him.

Another interesting detail coming out of this patch is that the three Sunbringers KNOW the secret they're carrying. Lindverne, the most human among the three, tried multiple times to reveal something about the link between the enchainers and themselves, but was repeatedly stopped by circumstances... I wonder what it is...
On an unrelated note, I heard a rumor that the Sunbringers may be released in the near future as a three-in-one unit, allowing you to use all three sisters in battle. Now, that would be a crazy good design that ensures none of the three are wasted. They'll probably be a Void Hunter too, so you'd better save your rolls.

Now the question remains: how long do we have to wait to see what happened to Roxy? A few weeks, or a whole month until Patch 3.3? We already know from the story that she's going to be a Stun-class, Wind-based character, which means she's an absolute must-pull considering we only have one other Wind character released so far.
