Yuusha-kei ni Shosu Ep.11 - Boojum vs Xylo. Now time for Spriggan?!
Episode 11 of Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004 picks up from where we left off last week, with fairies invading the inner city following Boojum's intervention in the sewers. The knights are doing their best to stop them, but the onslaught is relentless.
Meanwhile, Xylo and the other heroes are fighting at the docks to protect the remaining citizens in the area where Boojum and the adventurers, Shiji Bau and Iron Whale, are plotting. Although the scale was smaller than the previous battles against the demon lords, I believe this was the best combat sequence in the anime so far.

This is likely because the involvement of humans adds a strategic element that was missing from the "endless waves of monsters" featured in the battles against multiple demon lords in previous episodes. I quite liked the coordination between Xylo, Rhyno and Jayce to defeat Iron Whale and Shiji Bau together.
At the same time, it seems Kivia suspects her uncle, Marlen, of being the mole working for the Demon Lord, Spriggan. Lacking proof and after much thought, she decides to rely on Frenci and her special unit to gather information before closing in and taking over control of the defense of the city.
It is remarkable to see the proud Kivia, who in the first episode was willing to die rather than ask Xylo for help, now humbling herself to seek assistance from Frenci, who is also her romantic rival. Kivia has shown the most character growth in the story, even more so than Xylo.
One important piece of information revealed in this episode that left me thinking was the mention of the King of all Demons. Apparently, while Boojum follows Spriggan's orders, he dislikes his methods and believes this "King" is the only entity worth revering.

We do not know much more yet, but I wonder if the King of the Demon Lords might be someone more open to real communication. The question remains: are the various other demon lords acting independently, or are they simply following orders as well?
The next episode is the first season finale, which will likely reveal Spriggan's true form and his inevitable defeat. There is no need to worry, however, as a second season has already been confirmed to be in the works. We do not yet have an exact start date for when it will begin.
