Mornye legs prosthetics
I keep thinking about what’s really going on with her legs. After looking around online, it does seem clear they’re prosthetics, since she apparently can’t walk without them. Still, the specific design choices, the color, the overall style, feel less like a purely in-world necessity and more like an artistic decision meant to make her stand out and look cool.
Not that I’m complaining at all, because Mornye looks fantastic regardless. It just makes me curious about how much of it will actually be addressed in the story. Either way, the new Wuthering Waves patch can’t arrive soon enough. A whole new region is exactly what the game needs right now, especially since I was starting to run out of things to do in Rinascita and could really use something fresh to dive into.
Nazuka pre-release thoughts
Nazuka is the next character getting released in Stella Sora! She's a wind character that seems to be centered around Area of Effects attack and can be used as sub-DPS or support. She depends on having other wind characters together with her to maximize the effects of her skills. It's also pretty easy to use as she has homing projectiles and easy to apply skill effects.
I haven't gone full deep into exploring her usage, but it's safe to say that she's a solid choice for F2P accounts. I will definitely roll for her in the upcoming banner.
Blanc Fortune Express Skin Animation
I never bought a skin in Nikke because of the absurdly huge cost compared to the benefit, but damn if I like seeing the animations in the page. Blanc looks stunning, even if it doesn't beat the Rapi outfit from the summer event. That one was downright criminal in terms of looks.
Blanc and her sister are underutilized character to be honest, hopefully we can get them more into the events and maybe even the main story even if they're confined to the Tetra facilities.
Brid actually looks way too good
Just goping through the story in the new event and damn Brid is really hot in this new alternate version. The suspenders are a nice touch that combined with the large bust makes her look even more "sensual" than usual.
Plus the face is a lot more detailed compared to the original version (all new Nikke have made big jumps in that part)
Her new version banner can't come soon enough! It's always a pain with Nikke as you know that the new characters are coming, you know about their skills and usage, but they always delay the releases by one week to keep the hype going further in the patch period.
Diesel new version character design
I rolled and managed to get Diesel new version in game. She's quite adorable in this version too even though she's kind of pales in front of the other girl new design. It's more of fanservice I feel than anything.
Now I need to read the actual christmas story...I've had a look at the first few chapters and it wasn't a great look to be honest. It's not like it's inherently bad, it just felt...boring compared to the other stories we got in the recent past. Plus the whole focus on the old lady memories didn't really resonate in me.
Columbina story progress in Nod Krai
Started playing just now the new patch story of Genshin Impact continuing the Nod Krai saga. Curious to see if there's more Sandrone x Columbina scenes as the one from the last patch was downright amazing.
Rarely I get so invested into some characters relationship in Genshin, but Sandbina seems to be way too perfect to miss out on it. I do feel that they are changing the direction of the story in this new patch to be more attentive to the older audience of gamers, but let's see if that stands or change along the way.
I always felt that the Genshin Impact story felt too childish at times...
Mornye and Lynae thoughts before release
Between the two preview resonators for the next patch, Mornye is definitely the better-looking one (even though the other girl isn’t bad either). What I keep wondering, though, is whether she’s actually human, especially considering the whole situation with her legs… things. I guess they could just be prosthetics that she uses to move around. With the sci-fi setting and the fact that we’re heading to a research-focused academy city, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if they had technology advanced enough to replicate legs almost perfectly.
I understand that, but why are they glowing?!
Chisa Pixel Art animation
Chisa from Wuthering Waves looks so adorable here. I'm curious to see how her story will continue in the new zone. Will she be able to meet back with her parents, how will she react to the fact that they got much older due to the time paradox?
The main worry I have is that they go with the usual approach that Kuro took with the heroines of the 2.x and simply forget she exist and they just focus on the new characters instead. It works for the immediate, but feel so shallow once you realize you'll probably never see those characters again.
Pani Poni Dash Journal Start
I started watching Pani Poni Dash again after more than a decade since the first time I watched it. Man, Becky is so adorable! This was one of the most iconic anime that I remember from those days of my history of watching anime.
Full of obscure references and generally hard to understand at times (especially if you don't catch some of those references). And yet the characters are still memorable and strong in my memories.
The aliens on the space-ship inspecting Becky's life, the mysterious Ichijou, the old teacher from the next door class, etc...
Jahoda release can't come sooner!
Only few more days before Jahoda releases in Genshin Impact! Can't wait as she's my favorite of the new zone so far!
It's both the combination of looks (she looks cute), her voice and personality. How she tries to avoid dangerous missions, but still can't say no whenever her boss Nefer trust her with something.
She still came back to help us despite being scared of what could happen if she was embroiled in a conflict against the Fatui. Hopefully she'll be useful in terms of gameplay too, latest 4* releases haven't been exactly stellar. She's Anemo though which is an element that works nicely as support for other characters reactions.
Common Route Completed
Finally completed the common route in Mirai Radio to Jinkou-bato and entered the first heroine route in Mizuki (the non-blood related little sister of protagonist). She's so adorable and honestly my favorite character of the visual novel so far.
Overall I think the professor is hotter (understandable considering she's also quite older), but Mizuki's voice just has that something that I just can't ignore.
The common route really only set up the basis of the story. There is this impending disaster that will kill Sora (the protagonist) and they need to find a way to prevent it. But the questions are a lot, just how did that radio program say things that didn't happen anymore? Is it a transmission from the future?
Bookwalker discounts! Sasaki maybe?
Ohh, lots of discounts available for light novels in Bookwalker right now. I'm tempted to get the remaining volumes of Sasaki to Piichan as I really loved the ones I read so far...
I've been staving off buying new volumes for quite a few months as I had to go through those I already bought. You know that feeling when you have so much and yet want to buy more? It happens often with Steam sales too...
So far my highest priorities are Sasaki to Piichan, Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoshu and maybe Seiyuu Radio no Ura Omote...
Mizuki in Chankon-kun mode!
I just can't get over when Mizuki goes full Chankon-kun (it's sort of an in-game mascot character with a very questionable visual design that makes the joke easier to make) mode with her cute voice and mannerism. She's just too ridiculous and funny. Haruno Iroha / Miyake Marie did an amazing job voicing her and I should really go and check the other works where she worked on as a seiyuu.
Everyone loves Chankon-kun! Plus seems like there's actually even special goods made for this ingame character. I would actually buy one of these just to have fun if they made them in real life...
Hazuki Kaguya looks adorable with glasses!
Man, Hazuki Kaguya looks adorable with glasses! I don't know why, but seeing a character that usually don't use glasses end up wearing them makes them feel even more attractive than usual. Is it some sort of psychological effect I wonder? It happened with multiple series at this point.
She is growing up to be quite an interesting character the more they reveal about her backstory, just hope it doesn't end with tragedy though.
But yeah, I'm still going on reading Mirai Radio to Jinkou Bato, still in the intro phase of the story I feel. Just learning more about the characters.
Intertwined Assault and Deep Oblivion
Wait, GFL2 released two events at the same time and both are full voiced? Damn, I'll have a lot to read in the next few days...especially if they are the usual length.
These two events seem to introduce long time fan favorite characters like Leva and Lenna to the list of playable characters. I'm quite fond of Leva's design even though I honestly don't know her personality yet. I'll see once I read her event (Deep Oblivion).
I'm always battled when it comes to the GFL2 events because while most of them are definitely well written, not having them fully voiced kind of kills my excitement for them. Not the case this time though as they seem both fully voiced. They should just make this the standard...
Ye Shunguang casual clothes
Ye Shunguang looks extremely cute in these casual clothes she used for the date with protagonist (Belle in my case). She has that "girlfriend" feel to her that I can't shake off. It feels like they designed her for that purpose from the get-go, but we'll see once we get to the story segment dedicated to her past.
It's definitely a big difference from the previous "main" character released of Yixuan. Yixuan relied a lot more on the appeal of her mature design, but the actual personality didn't manage to grab me.
This outfit is totally gonna be a skin of some sort right ZZZ? Right?! I will be angry if you don't...
Dialyn rolls result and material farm
Rolled for Dialyn and she came home easily. Issue is now raising her crit rate up, she want nearly 100% crit to be most efficient so the farming will not end easily. *cries*
I actually don't mind farming in ZZZ too much though, the battles are pretty short if you have the right characters and while it'll take time, it'll be mostly time waiting for the stamina to recover more than actual play time. Though honestly I never go for full perfect artifacts and settle for "good enough".
Seriously though, those are huge Akina!
It should've been me to poke! Not her! (video from Mirai Radio to Jinko Bato). Joking aside I've been building an app that allows me to record seamlessly as I play visual novels (through OBS for recording and Handbrake for reencoding for upload), this will save me so much time when I need to make videos of stuff I'm playing.
The idea is to streamline the process of posting in this space so that I can do it more often and get more content for everyone to enjoy
Fina release. She's so cute!
Unlocked Fina in Duet Night Abyss, she seems to be one of the strongest buffer in the game so far and a must use in pretty much all the teams. Now the pain is all about actually levelling her up to max level together with her weapon...
While unlocking characters is extremely straightforward in this game, the leveling part becomes the real deal and you're lost playing for hours to even get close to a decent level of power for the character. This can be a positive thing if you have a lot of time, but if you're tight on that...it may become something worth dropping the game for.
Dialyn Pre-release thoughts
Only two more days and Dialyn will get released in ZZZ! Can't wait! I love how they always release two trailers in a row, one in the original format (the previous) and one in a vertical format where it's more small in length and more focused on making you get accustomed to the voice of the new character.
Dialyn seems to be more a trickster character that smile on the front and maybe thinks something else in the back. Hopefully they'll develop her well so that she's still easy to get attached to.
Design wise I really like the balance of color between white and black creating the "Yin-Yang" effect that is visible directly by just looking at her hair.
